What You Can Expect from Our Interior Design Process
Have you ever wondered what goes into the process of crafting your most blissful space? Trust me, it is way more intricate (and fun!) than picking colors and patterns.
Diving into a new design project is such an exciting endeavor. Bringing your vision to life and creating a luxurious and welcoming space for you and your loved ones is the most gratifying part of what we do. We understand that you will be entrusting your vision of happiness in your home to us and we want your experience to be as wonderful as it can be.
How do we do it? With a detailed, systematic process that covers all aspects — big and small — of your project, from design to Grand Reveal. Here’s what you can expect...
Phase 1: Schematic Design

Launching Your Project
The initial phase is where you tell us about your dreams, literally. :) By means of virtual meetings, walkthroughs, and detailed questionnaires, we take a deep dive into your current space. We discuss your design goals, layout issues, timeline, and any other relevant information.
I’ll also take a closer look at your design inspiration. This is the moment when you get to show me that Pinterest board you’ve been meticulously crafting, or pull up that binder with magazine cut-outs. The goal here is to understand your desired aesthetic, functionality, and the lifestyle at home.

Creating Your Conceptual Design
You’re probably going hear me say this at least a couple of times today, but this step is an essential part of the process. Based on our discovery sessions and design inspirations you shared with us, we present you with a preliminary design concept and based on your feedback, an official design concept for your space.
This design concept includes structural layout options, floor plans, a color scheme, and materials. We’ll also share a combination of sketches, material samples, and pricing estimations. Our goal is to provide you with as many details as possible for you to make an informed decision.
You’ll have the opportunity to share your thoughts and request a revision, before officially approving the design concept. Then, we’re ready to really get started!
Phase 2: Design Development
A to-scale space plan creates the room’s flow and function for your lifestyle. It also helps us determine which items to acquire for your new, luxurious space.
Specifying Materials & Gathering Quotes
We did it! Phase 1 is complete, we have your design concept in our hands, and now it’s time to bring it to life.
During the Material Specifications phase, we initiate the design development by specifying the materials to be used. You’ll remember that we selected the types of materials, but in this phase, we’re taking it a step further, getting quotes for the specific products and materials that you’ve approved.
At this point, we’ll also welcome any coordination and collaboration with other parties involved in your project, such as an architect, A/V specialist, contractor, and subcontractors. You can expect several meetings during design development to discuss costs, timing and to approve the final drawings and layouts.
Don’t worry, these meetings are structured, fun, and set the foundation for us to create your blissful home!
Starting Your Structural Build or Renovation
In other words, we get to work! This is when your design begins to come into form. We’ll coordinate with your trades to make sure everything is being taken care of according to our plan. You don’t have to lift a finger.
If you’re living in the space during the renovation phase, we’ll do our best to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible. On the bright side, how thrilling is it to witness the entire renovation process of your home as it unravels and transforms? Something exciting to look forward to at the end of every day!

Purchasing and Procurement of Materials & Furnishings
A.K.A the shopping part! Once we get your approval on the materials and furnishings to be purchased, our team will oversee procurement. This is the behind-the-scenes part that you won’t see much, but it is a highly involved process that requires time and attention to detail…
placing precise orders
tracking shipments
proposing alternatives if pricing/availability change
inspecting for quality
remedying any shipment errors
storing items until installation, if needed
It’s a BIG job! As the materials arrive, our team will proceed with installations. This is when your dream starts to materialize: new flooring, new countertops, light fixtures... Walkthroughs during this phase are always exciting, as we witness our sketches come to life.
And, of course, to keep these memories forever, we also take before and after pictures to document the whole process.

Phase 3: Grand Reveal & Finishing Touches
Installation Day!
This is the moment you have been waiting for! Your fixed elements have been installed, your furnishings take their places in the home, and we put on the final touches with accessories and art. This is the final layer that makes your house personal, meaningful, and just like home.
Then, you get to come home for the Grand Reveal… expect laughter, hugs, and spontaneous tears of joy! (Us, too!)
After the initial unveiling, we will walk you through the space with you and point out all design aspects that we focused on during this renovation. That is usually the time to create a punch list of any small items that need to be taken care of. In fact, because our dedication to our clients is unparalleled, we suggest you take a chance to enjoy the space for a few days and let us know if there’s anything else we can attend to. We will tie up any loose ends right away and leave you to enjoy your beautiful home with your family and friends for years to come.
